Design

When opened, Moto Razr’s panel folds right in the center to provide a symmetrical candy bar. The board used is a plastic P-OLED panel with 876 x 2142p resolution. You can instinctively notice the difference at the touch of your finger after using Gorilla Glass.

It just doesn’t feel right. That doesn’t mean it’s terrible, but before using this, you should eliminate the pre-installed notion of what a smartphone display should feel like.

The Razr’s hinge cannot support its weighed standing and sitting. It must be fully open or fully closed for it to work. It was one of the fun things I appreciated about the Flip, which I love with this clamshell form factor.

Quick flipping to answer calls and end calls is essential to the experience. You can answer and hang up calls using the action you’re talking about, but it’s not as polished as needed.

Display

The external display looks excellent with punchy colors and is a traditional glass OLED, this time doing much more without opening the phone. Unlike previous models, where the Quick View display was more like a smartwatch for notifications and music control (using the primary camera for selfies), you can now launch almost any app.

Of course, it’s limited by the space of 2.7 inches OLED. Still, it handles most apps surprisingly well and makes it easy to use Social media such as YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, and more without opening your phone. You can also play the game.

The touch response is just as good as a traditional screen and feels good under your fingers, but your fingernails and sharp objects should be more careful.

It’s not the brightest display outdoors, and the plastic may be a bit more reflective than glass, but it’s still beneficial in direct sunlight.
