It never surprises us when Motorola phones do well in battery tests. This list of the best phone battery life includes many telephones. Nonetheless, the Motorola Edge Plus 2023 raised a few eyebrows with its time of up to 16 hours.
We got results with the phone’s 6.7-inch display set to auto-refresh rate. This means it can scale up to 120Hz, depending on the screen activity. However, the Edge Plus supports a much higher refresh rate of 165Hz, making it appealing to gamers who crave immersive graphics.
When we locked the phone’s refresh rate to 165Hz, the Motorola Edge Plus still lasted just over 13 hours in our tests, so it would rank as one of the longest-lasting phones we’ve reviewed.
Motorola Edge Plus also supports a large 5,100mAh battery with 68W wired charging. We weren’t surprised by the charging speed, but it was one of the few disappointments we experienced when testing this excellent flagship phone.

The phone’s Snapdragon 665 chipset has solid mid-range performance. With the phone’s 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, you have an impressive and affordable device for your travel needs.
It has a headphone jack and a micro SD slot for adding up to 512GB of additional storage. The included 10W charger also allows for reasonably fast USB-C charging, and there’s a fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone.
There is no official waterproof rating, but the special coating provides at least rain and splash protection. Although the design is noticeably improved over its predecessor, the phone is a bit heavy and chunky.
The camera is also significantly improved over previous versions of the Power, producing good photos most of the time in good lighting conditions. Low-light photography isn’t great, but it doesn’t help because it doesn’t have a dedicated night mode.
Motorola Moto G Power is a surprisingly good phone for the money, even if you don’t use it for three days on each charge. Add to that, and you’ll have the best budget phones with long battery life in 2024.

As impressive and affordable as the Moto G Play’s price, it is a better choice among long-lasting phones, including other budget options from Motorola.
However, this list of best phone battery life recognizes the phones that last the longest in our battery tests, and this is one thing that the Moto G Play 2023 does very well.
6. Moto G9 Power
Moto G9 Power has a particular 6,000mAh battery, which will win the hearts of users who hate to recharge frequently. With a nearly two-day lifespan, it also supports 20W fast charging, so you don’t have to wait long when recharging.
Elsewhere, the Moto G9 Power is a bit of a business, as usual, but not strictly wrong, given the price. It offers average performance with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset and 4GB of RAM, but it works well enough.
The 6.8-inch 720 x 1640 screen looks reasonable no matter what you do, with plenty of room without resorting to HDR support. Still, we found it pretty good for the price, especially regarding video viewing. Lower your expectations, and you’ll be happy with this price.

Making a worthwhile rugged phone doesn’t come cheap, but Motorola has built a solid product in the resurrected 2021 Defy.
In terms of performance, it struggles to keep pace with its like-minded rival, but it can’t beat the sturdy design or the sizeable 5000mAh battery. Provides excellent longevity. 20W fast charging isn’t the quickest, but it’s better to have than not.
The display also didn’t display at sub-full HD resolution, but Motorola’s new Android experience is at least pleasant to use.

13. Moto G Power 2022
Motorola continues producing new versions of the Moto G Power, so why not if the battery lasts for days? Like its predecessors, the Moto G Power (2022) suffers from slow charging like other Moto G series phones but lasts longer in our battery tests.
The handset is built around a 6.5-inch 720 x 1600px IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The MediaTek Helio G37 chipset sits behind the driver’s seat, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.
The primary camera has a 50MP sensor and f/1.8 lens next to the 2MP depth sensor. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Moto G Power 2022 has a 5,000mAh battery limited to a pedestrian 10W charging rate. The phone has a 3.5mm audio jack and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The flimsy processor also makes us less enthusiastic about this Moto G Power version than we felt about the 2021 edition. The 2021 edition is still available and probably a better purchase even if you don’t get any updates after Android 11. Moto G Power (2022) ships with Android 11 but will be updated to Android 12.
